The Wild Horses of Kaapsehoop

Today we packed up Emilene's car, including the rabbits, and headed for the Mpumalanga province. I was amazed when we got to our first rest stop as it had it's own Rhino, Zebra, and Buffalo. No joke!

After our rest stop and a few pictures later we made our way to Kaapsehoop where the only Wild Horses of Africa roam. I have to say that I am absolutely in love with this place. It's amazing and the horses really to roam completely free. There are around 80 houses here and that is it. After sorting out our accommodation we took the rabbits for a walk and had a look around. We found an old jail house and a couple of wild horses eating in the church garden. We stopped for a pancake before walking around the beautiful streets and then a bit later had a drink at one of the local bars. I will let the pictures do the talking, but I am so glad that Emilene and Kate brought me here. It's stunning! We also had a thunderstorm and sun at the same time today.

Buffalo.

More buffalo and Zebra.

Even Rhino.

An Emu for good measure.

And you thought I was lying, but no these animals were all viewed from here.

The Road To Kaapsehoop

Kaapsehoop is based inside a pine forest.

This is what Kaapsehoop is famous for.
